Industry Liaison Officer - Royal Central School of Speech & Drama
- Salary, Grade 5: 0.6FTE £21,350- £23,634 per annum, including London weighting
- FTE salary for grade 5 is £35,583 to 39,989 per annum, including London weighting
- Permanent – Part Time – 21 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with Central's students and faculty, holding responsibility for continuing and developing industry (Film, TV, Theatre, Radio) relationships to our undergraduate and postgraduate acting programmes. As Industry Liaison Officer you will provide a crucial interface between Central, its students, and industry, and fulfil an essential part of Central's public production processes with a focus on industry facing elements and graduate employment. The role will involve flexible working, requiring some evening, and weekend work.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Maintaining and developing Central's relationship with industry, with a particular focus on agents, casting directors, producers, and directors
- Promoting and marketing Central's students and their work to agents and casting directors in liaison with course leaders, production, marketing, and media teams
- Supporting the coordination and operational requirements of showcases and public production events in terms of their industry facing elements
- Coordinating student ushers for public productions
- Maintaining and developing Central's contact database of agents, producers and casting directors, and acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
- Advising students on best practice when liaising with agents and casting directors.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working as an actor, a casting director or as an agent, or experience of working in the performing arts or broadcasting industries.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage your time effectively and to assess the priority of competing tasks.
- The ability to relay complex ideas clearly, and to organise and interpret data.
- The ability to communicate confidently and professionally both with students, internal staff and external stakeholders.
This is a 0.6FTE part-time role (3 days a week or equivalent).
