We provide and manage 10,000 homes on the south side of the Thames Estuary in the vibrant area of North Kent.
We have an annual turnover of £80 million and will invest £145 million in new and existing homes over the next three years.
In the next three years, we’ll:
- Build 363 new homes.
- Make major steps to improve & decarbonise our existing homes.
- Ensure we are a visible & responsive landlord.

About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our Finance, Risk & Audit Committee (FRAC) as a committee member.
The FRAC is responsible for contributing actively to the financial control, risk management and internal audit of the organisation. It does this by constructively challenging and developing insights that scrutinise performance to ensure that the organisation is:
- Delivering excellent services
The FRAC provides assurance to the Group Board on the effectiveness of the financial management and internal control procedures within the Group and alert the Boards to all aspects of risk that may reasonably be conceived as threatening the ongoing success and prosperity of the business.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills, attributes and capabilities;
- Proven track record in navigating complex risk landscapes and a comprehensive understanding of non-financial risks.
- Risk management – particularly around non-financial risks such as operational, third party, safeguarding, cyber, reputational, conduct, regulatory and compliance risks
- Familiarity with and commitment effective corporate governance
- Experience of internal controls and audit along with a proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Proactive approach to cybersecurity within an evolving business landscape.
- Commitment to accountability and a robust organisational oversight framework.
- Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with others.
- Able to assess the risks of proposed courses of action to make independent and critical judgments, whilst recognizing the need to reach consensus based on compromise.
- Personal or professional ties to the Kent region, reflecting local knowledge and community engagement.
- Integrity with values that match our PRIDE values and leadership behaviours. A commitment to safeguarding principles.
