This is your opportunity to help shape Old Oak and Park Royal, the only place where High Speed Two (HS2), the Elizabeth Line and Great Western will all connect into one of the largest and best-connected regeneration projects in the UK.
As OPDC’s Engagement Officer, you’ll be personable and have excellent communications and relationship management skills. You’ll help drive forward best practice engagement, in line with OPDC’s Community Engagement Strategy and Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
You’ll love working with partners and the public, to find solutions and create collaborations, in support of local people impacted by construction and communities going through development change. You’ll confidently engage diverse groups, including younger and older people as well as those whose first language may not be English. You’ll be experienced in business admin, helping to draft agendas and minutes, as well as managing and updating the engagement contacts database. You’ll spend approx. 3 days a week in the area – establishing, building, and maintaining positive relationships and collaborations with the community – and attend evening and weekend engagements as and when required.
If successful, you’ll work in the Communications and Engagement team, reporting to the Head of Community Engagement and Social Value whilst supporting the Senior Engagement Officer.
