Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
Salary: up to 65k
Hybrid working: we use a model of 2 plus days in our central London office at House of Sport and working from home, with travel required throughout London

London Sport is a charity working to ensure more Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives through being active.
Supported by Sport England and the Mayor of London, we collaborate with those who share our vision, running and supporting projects that help children, young people and the least active adults embed sport and physical activity into their lives.
About the Role
Working closely with colleagues across the team, under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead and drive the delivery of our People and Culture strategy. You will also manage all Human Resource requirements of our work including talent, learning and performance. In this key people role, you’ll have a personal passion for diversity and inclusion and be a key part of London Sport’s objective to be more like London.
A key focus of this role will be building relationships with colleagues across London Sport to support the implementation of our broader strategy aimed at encouraging more people to become physically active.

- Drive Cultural Initiatives and Change Management
- Enhance Learning & Development
- Strengthen Employee Relationships
- Support Diversity and Inclusion
- Provide Strategic Support
- Build Relationships and Drive Professionalism
- Lead the HR Team
- Ensure Data Compliance and Reporting
- Monitor Trends and Improve Offerings
- Manage Performance and Payroll Processes
About you
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Are an experienced manager with expertise in HR, holding a CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent, with some experience in payroll and leading an HR function.
- Build relationships at all levels, including with Directors and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Have a demonstrable commitment to the personal development of colleagues and yourself. Enjoy guiding and supporting the people in your team to develop their experience.
- Are able to communicate effectively with colleagues, line managers, the Senior Leadership Team, the Board and the wider organisation.
- Are forward-thinking, proactive and able to work autonomously, with focus on attention to detail - you’ll care about getting things right the first time.
- Can demonstrate a practical commitment to the values and purpose of London Sport.
- Can demonstrate practical knowledge of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion in relation to London and to HR function.
- Have a lived experience of day-to-day life in London.
