Director of People - SignHealth
The Director of People will be responsible for developing a new People Strategy for SignHealth.They will have oversight for the delivery and development of SignHealth’s policies, processes and systems
Salary: £93,600 per annum (Dependent on experience)
Location: Home-based (some travel required for meetings)
About SignHealth
We are a team of 200 staff working to deliver our purpose to eliminate deaf health inequality.
We provide a range of services, including social care, psychological therapy, domestic abuse support and children and young people’s services.
We deliver this work by deaf people to deaf people right across England, directly in British Sign Language. We believe we are one of the largest disabled people’s organisations in the UK and more than 75% of our staff are deaf people.
About the role
The Director of People will be responsible for developing a new People Strategy for SignHealth. They will have oversight for the delivery and development of SignHealth’s policies, processes and systems relating to its people, continuing our work to ensure that all of SignHealth’s support for employees is available in both written English and filmed in British Sign Language.
The Director of People will be a driving force in embedding and implementing SignHealth’s new Values, working in partnership with colleagues from across the organisation, including a new Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
This is an exciting time to join SignHealth. Our aim is for the rapid growth we experienced in 2023 to be continued over the next three years.
The successfully appointed candidate will be accountable for managing a team of five people, which includes the Head of People, a trainer, two colleagues focused on recruitment and employee relations, and a Payroll Manager. The team is expected to expand once the new Director is appointed.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have proven leadership expertise in a senior leadership HR/People role and have a demonstrable track record in the development of people strategies.
You will be an expert in managing and improving the end-to-end HR & People processes as well as leading on and successfully delivering change projects.
