About the Team
Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most of us don't get the help we need. This has to change. That is why Mind is here to fight for mental health and won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
It's an exciting time to join Mind's Individual Giving, Legacies & In Memory Team. We're a growing fundraising team, expanding our capacity to deliver memorable fundraising experiences that raise millions of pounds and turn one-time donors into lifetime supporters of Mind.
All you need is the belief that mental health matters, and skills you can apply to our mission – whether you've worked in Fundraising or not.
About the role
Thanks to investment in the team, we have 4 Fundraising Officer roles available across our Acquisition (Individual Giving), Retention (Individual Giving), In Memory and Legacy Teams. In your application, please let us know if you'd like to be considered for other Fundraising Officer roles.
As a Fundraising Officer, you will support the Senior Fundraising Officer in generating and delivering inspiring and motivating marketing and stewardship communications – as well as leading on delegated campaigns and projects, to build engagement with supporters and drive long term support for Mind.
You will deliver marketing campaigns from beginning to end - from writing briefs and working with agencies and internal teams on media, creative, data, print, production, and fulfilment, to collating results and recommending improvements from your learnings.
You'll be joining a team of friendly and passionate fundraisers, and you'll be supported to develop your skills and personal development plans in a wellbeing focused environment. You will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving, Legacies & In Memory Fundraising team reaching and exceeding their target of circa £9 million net income by 2025.
About you
- You have strong verbal communications skills and the ability to engage with and steward our supporters across a range of channels
- You are able to form strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- You have experience in project management and/or marketing, including monitoring and reporting on activity
- You can use reporting and insights to understand our audience motivations and needs, and use this to optimise activity
- You are adaptable, flexible and collaborative
Mind is open to experience outside of the charity sector, transferable skills and learning in post, and we will welcome applications from candidates who may not meet the criteria exactly.
