Mental health is not something to be ashamed of. That is why we won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.
It's a really exciting time to join Mind's Legacy team. Our legacy income has nearly quadrupled over the last 6 years and we've just received big investment in the team in order to manage, protect and grow Mind's income from gifts in Wills. The team is more than doubling in size, including this brand new role.
All you need is the belief that mental health matters, and skills you can apply to our mission.
Will you join us?
This isn't your typical Legacy Management role. You won't be managing a case load but instead you'll be transforming our internal legacy administration processes and be our in-house expert.
You'll work with colleagues across Mind and the Mind Network to distribute income to local Minds. You'll lead on forecasting and budgeting legacy income. You'll work closely with our Legacy Administration Manager at Legacy Link, helping to maximise the value of our gifts, support with contentious cases and manage reputational risk. You'll also lead on auditing and updating our internal policies and procedures. And by doing this, you'll be helping to create a future where everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
This is a part-time role, with lots of flexibility to allow you to work how you work best and to support your life outside of work. You can be based anywhere in the UK and work remotely or be attached to our London or Cardiff office in a hybrid working model.
We are a team of friendly and passionate fundraisers, where you will be supported to develop your skills and personal development plans in a wellbeing focused environment. We have ambitious plans for the years ahead, so if you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
About you
- You're a self-starter with significant experience in legacy administration and solid knowledge of legacy legislation, best practice and regulations
- You have a track record of meeting financial targets with management experience of setting, monitoring and reforecasting on budgets
- You have excellent communication skills, can build strong relationships and have the ability to inspire and influence a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- You excel at interpreting and analysing data to generate insights, problem-solving, and implementing solutions
- You have high levels of financial numeracy, strong attention to detail and brilliant organisational skills
