About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help us shape our future. Both Stratford and Warwick Councils are undergoing significant organisational change and are committed to working together to create a single statutory South Warwickshire Council by 2024. We have an exciting opportunity for a S151 Officer to join our senior management team, which will play a key role in supporting the delivery of this transition.
You will be a joint Head of Service overseeing the teams across both councils, which means you will be part of the most populous district council in England. You will be responsible for a broad range of functions including procurement, Finance, Audit and Risk across both Councils, where you will need to plan how these services integrate as we move forward. This role is key to the future of the Council, to securing our financial sustainability and ensuring we can continue to offer best value to the residents of the district and wider south Warwickshire.
We need someone who can think strategically, has a successful track record in a political environment and is experienced in working on transformation. We are looking for an exceptional innovative head of service, who inspires in the way they lead and has a presence which motivates and challenges.
